Build real websites from the ground up
HTML and CSS are the building blocks of every website on the internet, and mastering them opens the door to web development, UI design and digital product creation. In this course you will start with HTML fundamentals: document structure, text, hyperlinks, tables and media. You will then move into CSS to master selectors, typography, backgrounds, borders and layout techniques. Over six weeks you will progress from the basics to advanced responsive design, working through Flexbox, CSS Grid and the debugging techniques developers use every day. Each session builds practical skills you apply immediately, and by the end you will be confident building complete, responsive web pages from scratch. You will leave with a Certificate of Completion from the Academy of Digital Arts and a web project ready to show employers.
What you will learn
In this course you will learn the following skills:
- HTML fundamentals: document structure, text, headings, links, tables, images and media
- HTML forms, input types, semantic markup and accessibility basics
- CSS selectors, typography, colour, backgrounds and the box model
- CSS layout: display properties, flexbox, float and positioning
- Responsive design: media queries and mobile-first techniques
- CSS Grid, advanced layouts, CSS variables and debugging
How it works
The course runs from Monday to Wednesday from 6 pm to 8.30 pm.
Over the runtime of the course you will learn everything from scratch while being instructed by a lecturer.
After the course is finished you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
You will have your project work as part of your portfolio.
