B-BBEE Skills Development Points
Training your staff through ADA also contributes to your company's B-BBEE scorecard. Skills Development is a priority element worth up to 25 points. Generic companies (turnover above R50 million) need to spend 6% of payroll on qualifying training to maximise those points, while QSE companies need 3%. Failing to meet the 40% sub-minimum in this category drops your overall B-BBEE level by one, regardless of performance elsewhere. Training staff with disabilities earns four additional bonus points.
